GENERAL INFORMATION:
Welcome to the third annual "SPRING BASH". This tournament is a USFA state & world series qualifying points event with a 3 pool / double elimination format. This tournament will be held at Triple Creek Park in Gallatin, TN. Triple Creek park is home to the annual TN USFA State Championships. Gallatin offers several nice places to eat and stay and is only 30 minutes from downtown Nashville.
WHEN: April 16 & 17

AGES: 8U-14U
FORMAT: 3 pool games followed by double elimination.
AWARDS: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Team, 1st & 2nd Individual. All Tournament & MVP's.
ENTRY FEE: $215.00 (8U's will be $125.00).

RULES:
Pool game times are 65 minutes drop dead, finishing the batter. If a game has not ended, in order to get the final score we will go back to the last completed inning, unless the home team is ahead or tied and batting. Elimination game times are 70 minutes with no new inning starting after 65 minutes. There will be a mercy rule in effect: (10 runs after 3 innings and 8 runs after 5 innings). For games that end in a tie, the tie breaker (SEE BELOW) will be played for one inning. Games can end in a tie with the exception of elimination games.
Definition of tie breaker:
Your last batted out will be placed at third base with 1 out, the next scheduled batter will bat and you will continue to bat until your third out.
To avoid teams from stalling for time, the last 5 minutes of the game the clock will stop on timeouts etc.
Who advances to bracket play will be determined by:
All teams will advance to bracket play and will be seeded by your pool play record.
Home team will be decided by coin toss. Line up cards are to be turned in to the official scorekeeper before each game.
Home team is responsible for keeping the official scorebook and the Visiting team is more than welcome to keep the scoreboard.
The tournament director reserves the right to delay or reschedule games as needed. In case of rain delays, a restricted schedule may be implemented. Any rain out games will be canceled without money refunded. The head coach is responsible for finding out changed game times in the event of rain.
Gate admission will be charged for everyone except (3) coaches per team and players.
Protest fee is $100.00 cash. The fee will be returned if the protest is allowed. Any dispute on a rule interpretation will be settled immediately by the UIC before the game continues.

NOTE: registering for this tournament DOES NOT guarantee you a spot, once your entry fee has been received you will officially be accepted into the tournament. We will only take the first 8 teams whose entry fees we receive. If you wish to send your entry fee in early to reserve your spot, we encourage you to do so as checks are not deposited until 1 week prior to the event.
